Wilts & Dorset is owned by Go Ahead and, along with serving Wiltshire and Dorset, serves Hampshire and Avon also. Photos will go here and this gallery will be updated unoccasionally. I will notify you clearly when it is updated.
| Sat 26th Aug 2006 Wilts & Dorset Bristol VRTs & Leyland Olympians Wilts & Dorset have never been a great fan of Leyland Olympians. Some have operated for decades with W&D but have never provided the mainstay of the fleet and are being withdrawn gradually.
However, a few examples from Southern Vectis have been transferred in to replace ageing Bristol VRTs, and appear in the new livery which looks brilliant on them. Photos of the old TIL SV Olys, and all others in W&D, will be found in this collection. Collection also contains the few Bristol VR photos I have. |

| Sat 26th Aug 2006 Wilts & Dorset DAF DB250 / Optare Spectra Wilts & Dorset's predominant double deck bus since the Bristol VR has been the DAF with Optare Spectra bodywork. Lots of Optare Spectras are in service from all depots at the moment, and they are easy to find. Some are step entry, and the later models are SLF versions.
The Northern Counties bodied DAFs have been moved into their own collection - there is a link at the bottom of this one. |

| Sat 26th Aug 2006 Wilts & Dorset DAF SB220 / Optare Deltas Wilts & Dorset operate a number of the rare Optare Delta bodied DAF bus. There was a batch new to W&D, which are scattered throughout the service area, but recently Solent Blue Line has transferred a couple into service in Dorset. Photos appear here. |

| Sat 26th Aug 2006 Wilts & Dorset Mercedes-Benz Citaro In 2006, a large delivery of Mercedes-Benz Citaros for Wilts & Dorset boosted service quality. The Citaros are found in Salisbury, for the Pulseline service, and in Poole, where they operate the "More" services between Poole and Bournemouth and route 3 and 13 into Wimborne, amongst others. |
||
| Sat 26th Aug 2006 Wilts & Dorset Optare Excels The Optare Excel provides a small but important role in the fleet of Wilts & Dorset. A number are in use from Poole on everyday service, and a number operate the Salisbury park and ride system. |

| Sat 26th Aug 2006 Wilts & Dorset Optare Metroriders Optare Metroriders produced the mainstay of the Wilts & Dorset's minibus fleet in the past, but in these days of low floor buses, and more importantly, the Optare Solo, W&D's Metroriders are gradually being taken out of service. See pictures in this gallery for a variety. |
||
| Sat 26th Aug 2006 Wilts & Dorset Optare Solos Following the Metrorider, Wilts & Dorset were one of the first buyers of the Optare Solo. 'R' reg examples were newest back in 1997 and since then, Solos have been the principle minibus. However, none have been delivered for many years and Go Ahead prefer the Dennis Dart MPD. So, for the next minibus delivery, what could it be?! |
